You’ve got ideas.
You’ve got offers.
You’ve probably got a notes app full of half-written posts you were this 🤏close to sharing.
But when it comes to actually showing up consistently – in a way that leads to enquiries, not just likes – things feel… foggy.
That’s exactly where The Party Starter comes in.
It’s here to help you get clear, confident, and intentional with your content so it supports your business, not drains it.
This blog is your behind-the-scenes guide: what The Party Starter is, who it’s for, what it solves, how it works, and how you can use it as either a one-off reset or a steady source of support.
If you’ve been wondering, “Is content coaching actually for me?” or “What would I need to have ready?” – you’re in the right place.
Why I created The Party Starter
I created The Party Starter because I kept seeing the same pattern over and over again:
Brilliant solopreneurs, service providers and business owners…
… with great offers and so much potential…
… who were posting content that felt random, draining, or disconnected from what they actually wanted to sell.
Some were well established but overwhelmed.
Others were right near the beginning — unsure of their offers, second-guessing their niche, or struggling to find clients consistently.
And many were stuck somewhere in the middle.
You know you’re good at what you do, but you’re not 100% sure how to talk about it, how to position it, or how to market it in a way that brings the right people in.
If you’re at that stage — where your ideas feel messy, your confidence has dipped, or you’re unsure how to turn your skills into clear, sellable offers — that’s a sign it’s the perfect time for a Party Starter session.
The session is designed to help you get back on the right path: clarifying what you’re selling, who it’s for, how to talk about it, and how your content and email can support steady enquiries rather than guesswork.
A lot of my clients didn’t need a huge, long-term programme.
They needed:
- Someone to look at the whole picture – offers, capacity, schedule, content, email, socials
- A personalised strategy that fits their actual life, not a textbook
- Clear “do this next” guidance they could implement straightaway
Content Compass Coaching is designed to be that reset button: a way to step back from the chaos, look at what’s really going on, and set a direction that feels doable, as well as effective.
And for many people, that moment of clarity is exactly what shifts everything.
Here’s how one client described their experience:
“The Power Hour with Sarah was so much more than I expected. I knew I needed to be marketing my small business digitally and was half-heartedly posting on social media without any real strategy. Sarah provided practical advice tailored to my individual experience and offered reassurance and a common-sense approach to ensure that going forward, her suggestions were achievable, realistic, and meaningful in terms of marketing.
I received a detailed follow-up email with all that we had discussed and the next steps, which showed that she really understood where I was coming from and what I wanted to achieve. It was well worth the investment and I wholeheartedly recommend seeking Sarah’s advice.”
What is The Party Starter?
So what is it exactly?
The Party Starter is a 1:1 session designed to help you get clear on what you’re selling, who you’re speaking to, and how your content and email can support steady enquiries — without the overwhelm.
In simple terms, it’s:
- One focused call where we dig into your content, offers, and goals
- A clear action plan you can follow afterwards
- Support so you’re not left staring at a blank screen, wondering what to do next
It’s part content strategy, part big-picture business thinking, and part “can you just tell me what to do next, please?”.
Who is The Party Starter for?
The Party Starter is ideal for you if:
- You’re a service provider, creative, coach, expert, or course creator
- You’re in business or getting ready to launch, and you have at least a rough idea of the offer you want to sell
- You’re using content in some way, but it doesn’t quite feel aligned or effective right now…
- Or you haven’t begun marketing yet and want to start from a place of strategy rather than guessing
- You’re willing to take action – you just need clarity on what to do next
- You care about values-led marketing and don’t want pushy tactics
In other words, whether you’re right at the beginning or already up and running, you’re ready for your marketing to feel more strategic, aligned, and sustainable.
Who is it not for?
The Party Starter probably isn’t the right fit if:
- You don’t have a business or offer yet – you’re still in the “idea” stage
- You don’t want to stay in control and DIY your own marketing — you’re not looking to hand everything over. You just want expert guidance to make sure you’re on the right path, rather than diving in willy-nilly.
- You’re looking for a quick fix without doing any implementation
- You want aggressive growth at all costs, even if it compromises your wellbeing or values
If you’re very early-stage and still figuring out what to sell, you may find that a more foundational business-building offer is a better place to start.
What problems does The Party Starter solve?
Here are some of the specific problems this session is designed to help with:
1. “I don’t know what to post anymore.”
You’re tired of posting for the sake of it or recycling the same three ideas on repeat. We’ll map out content themes that actually connect back to your offers and your clients’ real problems, so you’ve always got somewhere to start.
2. “My content doesn’t seem to lead to enquiries.”
You’re visible, but it’s not translating into clients, sales, or bookings. We’ll look at the gaps in your customer journey and make sure your content is guiding people towards working with you, not just entertaining them – or you shouting into the ether!
3. “I’m overwhelmed and on the edge of burnout.”
You want consistent marketing, but not at the cost of your wellbeing. We’ll choose a strategy that fits your capacity, not your fantasy self with endless time and energy.
4. “I feel all over the place with my messaging.”
You’ve grown, your offers have shifted, or your niche has evolved – but your content hasn’t caught up. We’ll clarify what you’re known for, what you’re selling, and how to talk about it in a way that feels like you.
5. “I know I need to use email more, but I don’t know where to start.”
If you’re stuck at “I’ve got a list, but I never email them” (or you don’t have a list yet), we can use the session to clarify your email marketing, simple email content ideas, and a realistic plan to start using it to support your income.
Why choose 1:1 coaching over a course or template?
Courses and templates can be great – but they’re usually built for the “average” business.
The problem? Most of us don’t have “average” lives, schedules, or brains!
1:1 coaching means we build your strategy around:
- Your offers
- Your energy and capacity
- Your existing platforms
- Your values and boundaries
You’re not trying to squeeze yourself into someone else’s system.
You’re building a strategy that actually fits you.
What’s included when you book a Party Starter session?
When you book The Party Starter, you’re not getting a generic strategy chat — you’re getting a tailored, structured session designed to give you clarity you can actually use.
Here’s what’s included:
1. Pre-session questionnaire
A short form to help me understand your business, offers, goals and current content before we meet. This means we can hit the ground running on the call, instead of spending the intro getting up to speed.
2. A 1:1 strategy call (on Google Meet)
This is where we untangle what’s going on in your marketing, get clear on your message, refine your offers if needed, and map out the content themes and strategic actions that will support your next stage of growth.
We can talk about:
- What you’re selling over the next 1–3 months
- Who you’re actually trying to reach
- What content you’re already creating (and how it’s performing)
- Where you’re feeling stuck, burnt out, or confused
- How email, social media, and your website can work together to bring in enquiries
3. A written action plan
After the call, you’ll receive a written plan summarising everything we covered, along with clear next steps.
This includes:
- Your priorities for the next few weeks
- Suggested content pillars and topic ideas
- Key tweaks to your messaging or positioning
- Recommended next steps for your content marketing
Think of it as your content sat-nav for the next stretch of your business journey.
4. Follow-up support
After your session, you’ll have time to ask questions about your plan, so you feel confident implementing it. And if you discover that having ongoing support helps you stay accountable and consistent, you can continue on a month-to-month basis.
Ongoing support: Why many clients choose monthly sessions
While The Party Starter works brilliantly as a one-off strategic reset, many clients choose to continue monthly — and this is where the biggest transformation can happen.
A single session gives you clarity.
Monthly sessions give you consistency, direction, accountability, and steady movement towards your goals.
Because when you’re running a business, life happens:
You get busy with client work.
Your energy dips.
Your ideas feel scattered again.
You second-guess your messaging.
Having monthly support means you always know exactly what to prioritise, what to tweak, and how to stay on track without burning out.
It keeps your content aligned with your offers, your schedule, and your capacity — especially during launches, pivots, or busy seasons.
Monthly sessions are perfect if you want:
- Accountability to keep showing up
- A safe space to troubleshoot what’s not working
- Ongoing clarity as your business evolves
- Someone in your corner who understands your goals and your values
- Steady, sustainable growth rather than feast-or-famine visibility
There’s no long-term contract — it’s flexible, supportive, and designed to fit around your business.
Optional add-on: personalised content reviews
If you’d like an extra layer of support, you can add a personalised content review to your session or include it as part of your monthly coaching.
This is ideal if you want another expert pair of eyes on something you’ve created — especially if we focus your session on refining a specific piece of content.
Here’s how it works: If we spend your session focusing on something specific (like your sales page, launch content, nurture email, or a blog post), you can take your action plan away, implement the changes, and then send your updated content back to me for review.
I’ll go through it thoroughly and suggest any further improvements to make sure it’s as clear, compelling, and conversion-ready as possible.
You might use this for support with:
- A sales page you want to tighten up
- A blog post you’re unsure about
- An email sequence you want to make more effective
- A key piece of messaging you want to feel confident in
Content reviews are available as:
- A stand-alone add-on
- Part of your monthly ongoing support package, if you choose to continue after your first session
This gives you extra reassurance that you’re not implementing your plan alone; you’ve got expert support to help refine and elevate your content as you go.
What actually happens on the call?
Every session is personalised, but here’s what it often looks like:
- We start by honing in on your goals for your business
- We review how you’ve been marketing so far – what’s working, what isn’t
- We zoom in on one or two key areas (e.g. your Instagram, email strategy, launch content, nurture sequences, or simplifying your platforms)
- I ask questions, offer ideas, and suggest improvements
- You’ll come away with clarity and a plan you can realistically follow over the next few weeks or months — not a head full of jargon.
- And if you’d like help refining anything you create afterwards — like a web page, blog, or email — you can add a content review so nothing gets left to guesswork.
How much does it cost?
The Party Starter is a paid 1:1 service.
The current price is: £129
You’ll see the up-to-date price on my booking page.
I keep things transparent – no surprise add-ons, upsells you didn’t ask for, or pressure to upgrade.
Why this price?
You’re not just paying for an hour with me on a video call. You’re paying for:
- A strategy shaped around your business, not a generic template
- My experience working with purpose-led service providers on email, content, and funnels
- A clear action plan that saves you hours of second-guessing and DIY trial-and-error
I’ve intentionally priced this to be accessible enough to book as a strategic reset, while still reflecting the depth of support you receive.
Is there a refund policy?
Because this is a live, time-based service, I don’t offer refunds once our session has taken place.
If you need to reschedule, I’ll always do my best to find a new time that works for both of us, as long as you give reasonable notice. Full details are on the booking page.
What results can I expect?
Every business is different, so I won’t promise a specific number of followers or clients by a certain date — that isn’t what this work is about.
What you can expect is clarity, direction, and a strategy that feels doable.
Here’s how one client described a similar 1:1 session:
The Party Starter is there to give you the same: clarity, direction, and a strategy that actually supports your business.
“My marketing meeting with Sarah was so informative and helpful. She prepared a document outlining what I need to do to boost my business as well as answering all my questions. I loved her warm, friendly approach — her advice has formed a key part of my business strategy going forward.”
Content Compass Coaching is there to give you the same: clarity, direction, and a strategy that actually supports your business.
How do I book a Party Starter session?
If you’ve read this far and you’re thinking, “This is exactly what I need”, the next step is simple.
Fill in the form below, and I’ll get in touch with you to book in your session.
I’ll also send over a short questionnaire for you to complete so I can get to know your business before we meet.
Once that’s done, you’ll be all set – and we can start turning your content from “post and pray” into a compass that actually points towards more aligned clients and more sustainable income.
And if you’re still not sure whether it’s the right fit, you’re always welcome to drop me a message or email with your questions.
I’ll happily let you know if I think The Party Starter is right for you – and if it isn’t, I’ll say that too.
All your FAQs…
How long does everything take?
Here’s a rough timeline of how it works:
- You book your session and complete the pre-call form
- We meet for your 1:1 session (around an hour)
- Soon afterwards, you receive your written action plan
- You implement your plan over the following weeks, with light support available for questions
This is ideal if you want momentum without committing to a long coaching programme.
Once you’ve had your first session and received your action plan, you’re welcome to continue monthly if you want ongoing clarity, accountability, and strategic support. Many clients find that having a regular space to check in keeps them grounded, consistent, and moving forward — especially through launches or busy seasons.
If you prefer a one-off session, that’s absolutely fine too. You’re in control of what support you need.
What will I need to get started?
You don’t need a perfect content library or fancy systems. But to get the most from our time together, it helps if you can bring:
- A rough idea of your main offer(s) for the next 1–3 months you want to promote
- Any links to your website, socials, etc.
- A sense of your current capacity (how much time you realistically have for marketing)
- Any questions or worries that are living rent-free in your brain
Don’t worry if you feel “messy” or behind – that’s exactly what this session is for. You don’t need to tidy everything up before you come.
Who will you be working with?
You’ll be working with me, Sarah – a Freelance Content and Email Marketer based in Bristol (I work remotely from my home office, but if you’re local, I’m open to in-person sessions too). I specialise in helping purpose-led businesses grow in a way that feels sustainable, strategic, and aligned with their values.
I bring:
- Experience across content strategy and email marketing
- A big love for detail and systems (so you don’t have to hold it all in your head)
- A focus on protecting your energy and wellbeing as your business grows
My approach is collaborative and non-judgemental. You bring your expertise in what you do; I bring mine in how to communicate it. We build the plan together.
How do we meet and how do I access everything?
- Sessions are held online via Google Meet, so you can join from anywhere
- You’ll receive a calendar invite with the link once you’ve booked
- Soon after the call, I’ll send your action plan to you by email, so you can save and refer back to it whenever you need
If you decide to add a content review, you’ll simply email your draft to me (on a Google Doc or similar is ideal), and I’ll send back detailed comments and suggestions to strengthen it.
